Since its establishment in 1975, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto has dedicated itself for nearly half a century to ensuring the safety and protection of the rights of overseas Koreans. Additionally, it has played a crucial role in advancing political, economic, social, and cultural exchanges between Korea and Canada.

Our consular district encompasses the provinces of Ontario and Manitoba. Ontario, recognized as Canada's economic hub, hosts a range of key industries, including artificial intelligence, minerals, and electric vehicles. Meanwhile, Manitoba stands out as a vital transportation center connecting Eastern and Western Canada and is home to essential sectors in energy and agriculture. These provinces are also home to over 120,000 Koreans and Korean-Canadians, who actively contribute to the social, economic, and cultural milieu of their local communities.

The Consulate General remains committed to strengthening Korea’s ties with Ontario and Manitoba, and supporting the local Korean community in these provinces through cooperation and collaboration.
